So, what’s the difference between a workshop and a project? The main difference is that we see a project as a series of planned workshops and/or performances, rather than a one-off, or a number of unconnected workshops.
You can choose between one artist delivering a specific skill or theme, eg Chinese dance, junk percussion, storytelling, or two or more artists working together to create new combinations, eg Chinese dance with junk percussion, junk percussion with storytelling.
Some recent ‘one-off’ workshops include:
• Drop-in soundbeam workshop for a special needs parents/carers conference
• Junk percussion workshop for an early years practitioners festival
• Steel pan performance at a centre for adults with disabilities
• Percussion workshops as part of a community centre family craft week.
