Basingstoke Live - 10th to 11th July 2010
Basingstoke Live is a FREE festival entering another year as a major regional event. It’s a festival of live music and live performance catering for a wide genre of tastes and attracts an audience range from young to old. The event has a strong focus on the thriving local music scene offering showcase opportunities and promoting local talent alongside headline acts. Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council funds the event and have contracted Drum Runners for the fourth year running to co-ordinate the Festival. Working with the Council we are co-ordinating a range of professional and voluntary people and organisations to deliver this weekend long Festival and a range of fringe events leading up to it.
In the first year an estimated 5,000 people attended the event over 2 days. Last year the attendance rose to an estimated 15,000. It is anticipated that this will increase again.
